I found Megan through a neighbors referral and am so glad I did! I started working with Megan three months postpartum from my second child shortly after I turned 40. I knew I had an uphill battle in front of me, but Megan turned out to be the best partner I could ask for to go on my journey.
I’ve been training with Megan once a week for the past eight months. I’ve met my initial goal of losing ten pounds and rebuilding my strength. We’ve never done the same workout twice. I’m almost always sore from my sessions (in a good way) and Megan makes the sessions go by fast! I look forward to connecting with her week to week.

I cannot say enough positive things about Megan and her BODY WISE virtual personal training app. I love the Trainerize app and workouts she creates for me. I feel so accomplished after I complete my daily program. I also love getting the health and wellness tips she sends daily. I feel like she is genuinely interested in my health as well as my fitness goals. I started working with her about 6 months ago and was well on my way to the fit life I wanted. I then had some issues that kept me from the gym and working out. She continued check in on me regularly to make sure I was well. Always happy to make time for a chat and always there with some positive vibes. I needed that more than she probably realized. I am now back in the gym and on my second week of training. I have worked with trainers in the past, and you could just tell they were only in it for the profit. This is not how Megan is at all. She is so down to earth and is such a role model for not only myself but for us all. Her commitment to her clients goes way beyond anyone in this industry I’ve ever worked with. When I retired and moved to Charleston two years ago, I decided to amp up my fitness routines and tweak my eating habits. I decided to start working with Megan - one on one with personal training. Personal training was new to me, and I’m amazed at the results! I have lost 10 pounds, gained muscle and gone from a size 8 to a 4. Megan varies the workouts and trains me in a calm, supportive yet rigorous session, working on what I choose to focus on. She trains hard herself so she is an excellent role model!
As someone who is passionate about fitness and who has a background in the industry as a personal trainer and a gym manager, admittedly, I am not easily impressed. In fact, because of my passion and background, some might say I’m impossible to please. So, when I say that Megan Hamilton is an amazing coach, she is. I met Megan about two years ago at the gym. At this time, I was training for my first NPC figure competition. As the date of my competition approached, she would ask me how I was feeling and share some of her competition wisdom based on her previous experiences. As I prepared for my second show, I knew I needed to improve on my stage presence and reached out to Megan. After only one session, I knew I’d made the right choice. I knew I’d found a fitness professional who knew what she was talking about and who genuinely cared about her clients. Throughout the countdown to my show, she would send encouraging texts and reminders about what to do - and not to do - so I could bring my best self to the stage. My favorite text was the one where she warned: “No BLT’s - NO bites, licks, and/or tastes!” Great advice in a clever and clearly memorable way. She even texted me at 6:00AM the morning - a Saturday morning - of my competition to check in on me and send me another encouraging message. Throughout the day she continued to text me to see how I was feeling and how things were going. If it weren’t for Megan’s approachability, knowledge, encouragement, and patience, my stage presence would not have been what it was for this show. The difference from my last show to this show is undeniable and that is due to Megan’s coaching. Basically, if you’re looking for a coach who leads by example, who is knowledgeable, who is sincere, and who wants to see her clients succeed, then Megan Hamilton is the coach for you!
I have always considered myself a pretty fit person. I would go to the gym 3-6 days a week and do some upper body and lower body exercises and then get on the treadmill and run at least 3.5 miles. I was also a group fitness junky. I felt like I was in pretty good shape, but I didn’t like my shape. I reached out to Megan in May and did her eating and workout plan for 6 months and let me tell you, what a world of difference that made. I use to workout so I could eat whatever I wanted. I would have a piece of cake and say to myself “oh I’ll run 4 miles today and burn it off”. Well it’s no wonder why I was not happy with my shape I was eating the wrong foods and for all the wrong reasons. Since working with Megan I now eat so I CAN workout not workout so I can eat. Everything she had in my food plan was there to help me stay full, satisfy my sweet tooth and most importantly help me build and tone my muscles. My goal was to look like I lifted weights but not be too big. This is exactly what this program has done for me. The exercises are easy to figure out. If you can’t tell by the picture on the app there is also a nice little video that shows you exactly how to do it and it counts down your reps for you and also counts down how long you should rest in-between sets. I love it because I don’t have to think or plan out upper and lower body workouts Megan does that all for me. I would highly recommend doing the food part of this program too. I truly believe 80% of my problem with not looking as fit and toned as I wanted to was because I was not feeding (fueling) my muscles and body properly, Megan does an excellent job of making sure the food is easy to prepare. My issue was sweets!!! I had to have something sweet daily so she incorporated that into my meal plan so I would not fall off the wagon. Since starting this journey with Megan I have had many women stop me and ask me “how do I get arms like you? My response is" sign up with Megan". I have gone from a size 6 to a size 2. I only weigh myself once a week, but I don’t even care about that anymore because muscle weighs more than fat and I see more muscles on me than I do fat. If you are serious about getting into shape Megan can help you with that journey.
I started working with Megan about 1 year ago to help me prepare for a NPC bikini competition (contest prep). I can’t even express how much I have changed, physically and emotionally. I have a better appreciation for my body. She is such a great support system, that I could not even begin to imagine pushing myself as much as I have with her. She would never ask you to do something she wasn’t willing to do or hadn’t done herself, which makes her more of an inspiration. I am so glad to have her in my corner, she has been one of the best things I could have asked for, not only as a trainer, but especially as a friend.
I started working with Megan after attending a body building competition early 2017. I decided that I didn’t want to be in the shape I was in anymore. By no means was I overweight, but I wanted to take it to the next level, I signed up for her contest prep. Megan was an amazing coach, friend, and mentor during my 20 week bikini prep. Anything I needed, Megan was there. From workouts, meal planning, mental preparation and also my sanity on show day. Megan listened to what I was telling her about my body and we adjusted as needed. No matter what hour I needed Megan, or what weird issue I had, she helped me as best as she could. Megan definitely changed my life and helped me to compete in my very first NPC bikini bodybuilding competition. Megan believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and pushed me through until the end. I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer than Megan, and I can’t ever thank her enough for helping to evolve my love of bodybuilding into what it is now.
Megan helped guide me to a healthier lifestyle during a challenging time. I was postpartum trying to lose the baby weight while dealing with crazy hormones, balancing work and 2 little ones. Once I set my mind to something I go all in and this was the strictest I’d ever been with my nutrition. I’ll admit I expected results instantly and after week 1 not seeing much change I grew frustrated. Megan and I had verbal conversations weekly in addition to her daily encouragement texts. She told me to trust the process and I put my faith in her hands. I worked with Megan for 3 months and in that time I lost 12 lbs., and was in better shape from pre-pregnancy. For me the hardest part to sticking to a healthier way of eating is the temptation but having someone I had to hold myself accountable to motivated me and it worked. I felt like the guidance she provided, assisted me in changing my own behaviors. If you’re looking to make a healthier change I highly recommend Megan!

Megan helped me accomplish my bucket list goal of competing and she always made me feel at ease. Working out and eating right are not always easy but having someone like Megan with me step by step made me want to succeed. The apps she has made the whole process a breeze. And Megan helped me completely transform my body. I also made friends from Megan because the clients she works with are all such supportive people. I can’t say enough good things about Megan but if you’re struggling, want a change or want to compete, you’d be in great hands!
I started working with Megan primarily to address some chronic lower back pain I’ve struggled with for 10+ years. She helped me identify and address some asymmetrical glute weaknesses, and core strength issues. She also helped me identify other providers to assist in other areas. With continued focus on what I’ve learned, the pain in my lower back is less than it’s been in years.
I had been working out for 3 years. I had seen results but I wanted to take it to the next level of competing, so I decided to sign up for her contest prep. I was introduced to Megan by a friend. I began working with Megan in my early 60’s to fine-tune strength training and to focus on weaknesses which I would otherwise ignore. She has a sharp eye and is quick to notice where these weaknesses are and tailors the workout toward improvement. She is consistent with positive reinforcement and is always willing to answer questions and provide professional insight. She is punctual, professional, and very thorough with cleanliness in the gym environment. She is a warm person and a good conversationalist which makes the time spent very enjoyable. I intend to work with her for many years to come.
